I don’t think therefore I’m not?
You ever get those moments when all cognizant thought just seems to evaporate? I live for those moments. You watch movies and read all these books about people entering Zen trances and think “that sounds nice.” I really have tried not thinking but somehow something always floats across my consciousness. Of course, this makes me wonder. Is it possible to not think? I shall think on this, perhaps the answer is on the inside of my eyelids?
It’s Friiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiday!
I’ve been playing far too much WoW, addicted is the term that comes to mind. I want to go home and play. I don’t have the shakes or anything like that but I can’t help thinking how I might respec my toons or level my skills. I know, it’s bad. I quit before though! Twice! Isn’t that a common thread for addicts though? I do really enjoy the game even with all it’s far too human drama. I play with friends, but sometimes I have to remind myself it’s just a game. My greatest regret is lack of sleep. If I could nap most of the day and then play all night things would work out great. Alas, real life and this job thing keep me from both. It’s probably a good thing, I’m sure the giddiness of the new expansion will wear off sooner or later.
Today is our 5th Anniversary! Time flies! Maggie got me a sweet knife which is one I had been oogling. I can’t really carry around my swiss army any more and I had been wanting some sort of multitool. Short of the pliers this has everything I wanted. We’re going to The Foundation tonight for dinner. I’m really looking forward to it. We love Okra’s the restaurant next door also owned by my friend Charles. We’ve both come a long way from cleaning carpets!
Identity
I’m completely a google whore. I use gmail, the document space, calendar, etc. I even started a blog with their service. Then I remembered I had a livejournal account too.
I’m so confused.
So which is the real me? Good Question! I’m afraid I don’t have the answer. Perhaps all these blogs are my own little disorder. Split personalities running amok all over the web. Hardly the case though, a little reading and you’ll likely see the same style an, the same mannerisms. I might liken it to the doublemint commercials if the pretty blonde girls were turned inside out. The same on the inside just a different shell.
I recall an interview with Phil Hartmen. I think it was Entertainment Weekly, but the article made the comment that sometimes he’d get so lost in his voices and persona’s that he would forget what his own voice sounded like. I grok. Completely. Perhaps that’s because I’ve found myself doing the same thing at times. I lapse between a thick Scottish brogue and a Sean Connery Impression then launch into a hideously distorted french canadian accent before finally coming to a screeching halt with the epitaph “I need more cowbell!”
So much blogging to do, so little to say.
